Shi Zhengjiang Attends Opening Ceremony of CSG's Europe Office

        PARIS - Mr. Shi Zhengjiang, Vice President of China Southern Power Grid attended the Opening Ceremony here of CSG's Europe Office and gave a speech on behalf of the company.
        Nearly 70 representatives from 39 government, business and media organizations of both China and France, including:
        • Sun Yuming, Councilor of Science and Technology Division of China’s Embassy  to France; 
        • Mr. Pan Nuo, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in France,
        • Mr. Dominique Minière, Executive Vice President of Électricité de France (EDF), and
        • Mr. François Brottes, Board Chairman of Réseau de Transport d'Électricité, were present to celebrate the formal opening ceremonies.

        At the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Shi briefed attendees on the latest information about CSG's production, operations and major achievements in international cooperation and technological innovation over the past years, stating, "CSG has been expanding its international businesses and striving to foster closer exchanges and cooperation with European power grids. We believe that our Europe Office will be the window and platform for us to further promote our exchanges and cooperation with all partners in Europe". 
        He added, "the electricity market in Europe enjoys favorable business environment and a sound legal system. As a core city in Europe, Paris has abundant finance, trade and information resources and strong influence in the Europe market, so setting our Europe office in Paris will be definitely beneficial for our exploring and expanding this market".

        On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in France, Councilor Sun congratulated the company on the set up of its new office and praised China southern Power grid for its quick participation in the "Belt and Road Initiative”; persistence in technological innovations and green development and its ability to “go global".
"The establishment of CSG's Europe Office in Paris will firmly promote the company's exchanges and cooperation with the electricity industry in France and Europe at large. China Embassy in France is ready to serve as the bridge for the communication between CSG and French government, enterprises and commerce chambers, so that we could jointly push forward power cooperation and economic and trading exchanges between China and France”, said Mr. Sun.

        Prior to attending the ceremony, Mr. Shi visited EDF and held talks with its Vice President, Mr. Dominique Minière. 
        Mr. Shi said, "EDF is among the companies that CSG has most extensive cooperation with. The two companies have harvested favorable cooperation results in multiple areas. We would like to seize the opportunity provided by the founding of our Europe Office to strengthen cooperation between the two companies in technology, management, market development and human resources development." 
        Mr. Minière added, "EDF and CSG have a sound and profound foundation for cooperation. EDF is following closely China's reform on its power market. I hope that our two sides could intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in smart grid, clean energy and international market development."

        Participants also included representatives of CSG's Planning and Development Department, International Cooperation Department; Organization and Personnel Department and Trade Union as well as CSG International Co., Ltd.
