SEPCO1 has established the strategic goal of "cultivating the Brazilian market and exploring new market in South America" since its construction of Candiota coal-fired power plant in Brazil, a Sino-Brazilian project with the largest contract prize in 2006. After more than 10 years of cultivating the Brazilian market, it has established the localization management system and laid the foundation for localizing development in Brazil. A number of transmission line projects are constructed by SEPCO1, which serves as the “transportation highway of green energy” from south to north in this country. These projects have provided sufficient electricity for 22 million Brazilian people and played an important role in Brazilian economic growth and energy reform. Moreover, it has broken the monopoly of Spanish and Japanese enterprises on Brazilian power transmission and transformation engineering market. SEPCO1's performance has attracted widespread attention from the mass media and the public during the 9th BRICS summit meeting.
