Malaysia Sarawak 500 kV transmission line EPC project (Package: B), the contact amount about US$100 million, was the first project awarded in Malaysia of Shanghai Electric Power T&D Engineering Co., Ltd(SPTDE) through international competition bidding in May 2014.
        This project was located in Sarawak, east Malaysia. It was 181km long 500 kV transmission lines, with 398 steel towers, double circuits 4-split Conductors, also the first 500kV transmission line in Sarawak. 
        The project team of SPTDE overcame difficulties, including the tropical rainforest climate, terrain from 150m to 500m above sea level, crossing of hills, mountain forests, swamps, rivers, local private domain and 275 kV OHTL on use, etc. and their good performance got the affirmation and highly praise from the Project owner.
