Douvan Onshore Wind Power Project in Ireland

Douvan onshore wind portfolio is located in Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, which contains 10 wind farms and has a total capacity of 230MW: 184MW operational and 46MW in construction. The acquisition of project Douvan is CGN’s first step in Ireland, it is the prelude of CGN’s further investment and project development by itself in UK and Ireland (ROI), the biggest single investment made by CGN in Europe, and the biggest single investment made by Chinese investors in Ireland, revealing the determination, ambition and perseverance of CGN to develop overseas business. CGN is not only satisfied with fragmented investments in the European market, but more determined to build brands and platforms and to sow wide and plow deep in the European market. Project Douvan is sufficient to meet the electricity needs of around 120,000 homes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions of the equivalent of around 250,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide, which contributes to the economic development, energy-saving and emission reduction in Ireland. CGN completes faithfully its social responsibility and shows style.
