Asogli 360MW Gas Turbine Power Plant Phase II is a key project in Ghana's power development and planning. Energy China's Guangdong Power Engineering Co., Ltd is awarded as the Project EPC Contractor, CPECC's Northeast Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd is responsible for the designing and CGGC's Infrastructure Engineering Co., Ltd undertakes the engineering works including equipment foundations, firewall, major building construction and decoration, buried pipelines, raceway grooves and roads. The project engineering construction, from the commencement of work to the operation of the first unit, was completed in 11 months even though the construction period is very tight due to the urgent needs of power supply in Ghana, which breaks the historic record of the similar construction work of power generation in Africa.
