Hai Duong 2×600MW Coal-fired Power Plant Project in Vietnam(BOT)

        The Project was invested with the total amount of 1.8685 billion USD while 1.401 billion USD of total investment was by debt financing from Chinese banks. China Power Engineering and Consulting Co., Ltd. (“CPECC” in abbreviation), plays the role as the majority shareholder occupying 70% while JAKS from Malaysia participates jointly occupying 30%.
        The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on 27th Mar. 2016, which indicates the project was launched to execution period. CPECC has invested 130 million USD into the project and provided shareholder loan of 14.0138 million USD by the end of Nov. 2016, and now, CPECC is going through the procedure of project loan for approval.
        The Project is the major one for international production capacity cooperation in power sector, and so far, has been the single largest investment project in Vietnam by Chinese enterprise, which is seen as the typical investment example overseas by enhancing cooperation between Chinese enterprise and overseas counterpart for mutual benefit and win-win result.    
        The Project shall promote the economic development and improve the livelihood in Vietnam locally.
