Oman Salalah 445MW Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Project that contracted by the SEPCOIII is the first project of Sino-Oman cooperation in power sector . The project is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea in southern Oman, it is a key project in Oman. The project goes into production, it will greatly alleviated the shortage of electricity.
        The project brought Chinese power station equipment into Oman Power market for the first time and set a new record of being the first project that generates electricity by the due time as per contract in Oman's electricity power market. The project won China Power Quality Engineering Award issued by China Electric Power Construction Association in 2013 and the Luban Prize in 2014.
