Indonesia Pelabuhan Ratu 3X350MW Coal-fired Power Station Project is the first EPC project executed by Shanghai Electric in Indonesia. It is the first EPC project of Shanghai Electric where the local company as main construction contractor. The mixture and impaction of different construction cultures runs through the entire construction process, which is a great challenge, also a new subject for the Shanghai electrical project management internationalization. The success of the FCB test realize the technical breakthrough for Shanghai Electric on coal-fired plants. Finally all three units achieved 30-day reliability test run (RTR) and passed the Fast Cut Back (FCB) test within one year of 2013, with Shanghai Electric Project Execution team’s efforts and spirits to overcome difficulties. The project obtained the commercial operation certificates of the three units within one year and this is the first time in Indonesia power construction history. This was highly praised by Indonesia Owner and the German consulting company.
