Vinh Tan II Thermal Power Plant Project in Vietnam

Vietnam Vinh Tan II project is the first overseas EPC general contract project of 600MW thermal power plant of Shanghai Electric Group. Unit 1, the first synchronized 600MW class thermal power unit in Vietnam, was connected in the grid in January 15th, 2014. The three main equipment - boiler, turbine, generator and main auxiliaries such as high pressure heater, low pressure heater, deaerator, condenser and de-nitration used in Vietnam Vinh Tan II Project are all productions of Shanghai Electric Group. Inside, the boiler is the first set of 600MW class W-flame boiler which was produced by Shanghai Electric Group. Both two units are currently running in good condition since putting into operation and they are the most reliable 600MW class thermal power units that have been put into operation in Vietnam. Since both two units connected in the grid, the total power generation has reached 18 billion 880 million kilowatt-hours, greatly relieved the power shortage situation in Southern Vietnam. In 2015, the annual power generation of two units was 5 billion 550 million kilowatt-hours and over-fulfilled 13.3% to complete the annual power generation target. In 2016, the annual power generation of two units was 7 billion 106 million kilowatt-hours and over-fulfilled 0.99% to complete the annual power generation target..
