PT.SHENHUA GUOHUA PEMBANGKITAN JAWA BALI – The New Sample of Coal Power Construction Cooperation between China and Indonesia.
PT.SHENHUA GUOHUA PEMBANGKITAN JAWA BALI (Jawa-7 Coal Fired Power Plant) is a super-huge state-owned cooperation project between China and Indonesia. The 2×1050 MW supercritical coal-fired power generation unit is built in Phase I, which is Indonesia’s existing largest capacity unit and is the largest capacity exported unit of China’s enterprises under “going out” strategy. The order for the project commencement was signed in November 2016, and it is expected to put into commercial operation in 2020. After commencement, the local labor daily used is 800 on average and is amounting to more than 2,000 during the construction peak. It will directly stimulate the development of local building materials market and the tertiary industry. Employment opportunity of over 595 people will be provided after being put into operation, greatly easing local employment pressure and improving the living standards of local residents. In 2016, the project became the first IPP project in Indonesia to complete the financing project within six months. The Indonesian State Electricity Company (Perusahaan Listrik Negara or PLN) announced at the foreign media conference that Jawa-7 Coal Fired Power Plant has created a new record of Indonesia's power IPP.
