Santo Amaro Power Plant Project in Sao Tome

 

        Santo Amaro power plant is located in the capital city of Sao Tome, West Central Africa Gulf of Guinea. This power plant generates more than 50% of electricity in the country. The first phase was built by Taiwan with Korean Hyundai diesel generator with a total capacity of 8500KW and was put into operation in October 28th, 2010. The second phase of the project was built by Portugal for the construction of 3 sets 2000MW diesel generators, which was put into operation in October 2015.
        On the eve of the Spring Festival, December 30th, 2016, CDT received the aid task and immediately turned into state of readiness. Chairman, party secretary of CDT, Mr. Chen Jinhang headed the special work group and started an important "Easy Access" emergency decision-making mechanism. The implementation plan came up and expert’s team were formed in very short period of time and then rushed to the site immediately. The repair only took 21 days and the power plant successfully revived in normal operation. It once again proves that CDT is "responsible, strong and reliable"
