Kirchner-Cepernic Hydropower Project (KCHP) in Argentina

        As the EPC contractor, Energy China's CGGC successfully applied Chinese Export Buyer's Credit for the project funding. With a total contract amount of USD 5.56 billion, KCHP is the largest hydroelectric project in America as well as the largest overseas hydroelectric project undertaken by a PRC enterprise. Ministry of Planning and Economy of the Federal Government of Argentina is the owner of KCHP. Located on the Santa Cruz River in the central-southern part of Santa Cruz province in Argentina, 2100 KM far from the capital city of Buenos Aires, the project is composed of NK (President) Hydropower Plant and JC (Provincial Governor) Hydropower Plant, on the same rive with a distance of 65 KM, including a total installed capacity of 1740 MW containing 11 installed units. The works of the project include design, supply, engineering as well as 15 years of operation and maintenance for a 2-year warranty period in 66 months of construction.
