Caculo Cabaça Hydropower Plant (2171MW) Project in Angola

        Caculo Cabaça Hydroelectric Power Plant is the largest hydroelectric power plant in Africa as well as the largest hydroelectric power plant undertaken by Chinese enterprises in Africa. With a contract amount of USD 4.53 billion, which is equivalent to RMB 28.144 billion, the project is known as the "Three Gorges Project" in Angola. As the EPC contractor, Energy China's CGGC successfully applied Chinese Export Buyer's Credit for the project funding. The works of the project include the construction of diversion tunnel and civil works of main work, supply, and installation, commissioning & testing of Hydro-mechanical and Electromechanical Works. The project, with a total installed capacity of 2171MW, is currently in the preparation of pre-construction.
