The project, located on the river of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, 265Km away from Islamabad, was invested by CGGC of Energy China with the total installed capacity of 873MW producing 3.08 billion kilowatt hour yearly. The total investment is 1.9626 billion USD, of which EPC contracting amount is 1.314 billion USD.
SK Project,owned by SK Hydro Electric Power (Private) Limited, which CGGC occupies the share of 98% and executes as EPC contractor, is developed by BOOT with operation duration of 30 years (construction period excluded). The project is financed by China Export & Import Bank and Industrial & Commercial Bank of China by project financing with share capital/debt credit of 25:75. The financing was closed by 31st Dec. 2016. The project is one of the three hydro electric power plants on the list of China and Pakistan Economic Corridor and is the largest project invested by Chinese enterprise in Pakistan.
