Wang Jianping Meets with Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela

 

        On November 19, Wang Jianping, chairman of the Board of Energy China met with Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela during his state visit to China.
        Wang introduced about the overall strength of Energy China and the development and achievements for international business of China Gezhouba Group (CGGC), one of the leading subsidiaries of Energy China. Energy China is one of the largest comprehensive solutions providers for the power industry in China and globally. With strong capabilities across the full industry chain, namely in power planning, survey design, construction and contracting, equipment manufacturing, investment and operation, Energy China provides customers with one-stop integrated solutions and full life-cycle project management services. Wang mentioned about Panama’s role as the logistic and financial center for Central America and even for the World. Leveraging on the technological, financing and management strength, Energy China is willing to work closely with the related parties of Panama in collaboration of the key projects through EPC or investment.
        Varela recognized Energy China and CGGC's overall strength in infrastructure construction, especially in the fields of electric power and energy construction. He welcomed Energy China and CGGC to participate in the key projects of Panama and also agreed with Wang’s comments on echoing China’s “Belt and Road” strategy, thus to realize interconnection with the neighborring countries. He hoped that Energy China would send the technical team to Panama in discussion with Panamanian government departments and the local enterprises. After his speech, president of National Power Transmission and Distribution Company Ferrari introduced about the key energy projects in Panama.
        Wang highly appreciated the concern and support by Mr. President. He expressed that in response to the invitation by Mr. President, Energy China would work actively with Panamanian government in enhancing the collaboration of the above mentioned projects in practical terms, thus making contribution to the promotion of bilateral trade.
