On 14 November 2017, the 12th East Asia Summit was held at the Philippine International Convention Center. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, attended the Summit at the invitation of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Yu Gang, Vice President of China Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. (Energy China), was invited to participate in related events.
        On 17 November 2017, Yu Gang attended the EPC contract signing ceremony of Palauig 1100MW LNG CCGT Project between Energy China and Melekon. The project site is located in the northwest of Palauig, adjacent to Matalvis Island. The project adopts two sets of gas turbines, two sets of heat recovery boilers and one set of steam turbine, and the scope of work includes the construction of a jetty and a natural gas receiving station near the project site.
        In the meantime, Yu Gang attended the MOU signing ceremony of the cooperation between Energy China and MRC Allied, Inc. in the field of Philippine new energy market.
        During the visit, Yu Gang held a working conference among all the subsidiaries in the Philippines of Energy China, to preach the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He stressed that our overseas work shall be guided by the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress, to follow the new guidelines, to achieve new era and new features, to reveal new achievements. Energy China should strengthen the construction of overseas Party branches during work, to ensure the loyalty, responsibility, purposefulness and ability of our overseas Party braches.
        After the reports from the subsidiaries, Yu Gang expressed affirmation to their achievements. He urged that all units in the Philippines should unite together in order to carry forward the strength of Energy China, to construct demonstration projects in the Philippines and to build an excellent brand image of Energy China.
