To Visit KOSEP

To Visit Bundang Power Plant

        14th to 18th October, Baoping Qiao, the chairman of China Guodian, attended the 22nd World Energy Congress in South Korea, visited Korea South East Power Co Ltd (KOSEP), and met Xinsen Zhang, Chinese ambassador to South Korea.

        Under the theme of Securing Tomorrow’s Energy Today, the 22nd World Energy Congress provided delegates with a high-level exclusive and informative programme featuring addresses by government ministers, chief executives, and experts from around the world. There will be more than 250 speakers, including more than 50 ministers, from nearly 70 countries. Ms. Geun-hye Park, South Korean President, stated a speech about the safety guarantee of international energy resource, the fair supply and the environmental issues. Mr. Yumin Wang, Deputy Director of China National Energy Administration, and Mr. Zhenya Liu, Director of China Electricity Council, attended the Congress and shared Chinese electricity and energy industries situations with international academics.

        In the 22nd World Energy Congress, China Guodian shown the company operation and high-tech production, propagandized technology and products of Guodian Technology & Environment Group, which attracted more than 2,000 academics in the field of energy. There are 7 dissertations which focus on the wind power and solar energy technology from China Guodian collected by the proceedings of this Congress.

        Mr. Qiao accompanied Mr. Yumin Wang, Mr. Zhenya Liu, and Mr. Hwan-Eik Cho, Chairmen of Organizing Committee of the 22nd World Energy Congress and CEO of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), to visit China Guodian stand in the 22nd World Energy Congress. Mr. Qiao introduced China Guodian’s transformation development situations and featured advantageous industries.

        After the Congress, Mr. Qiao visited the Korea South East Power Co Ltd. (KOSEP) and the Bundang Power Plant. Mr. Qiao and Mr. Yeop Huh, KOSEP CEO, shared achievements and experiences of companies’ management structure, production and operation, and human resource, and discussed the possibility of cooperating in the field of new energy and exploiting the international market together.

        When Mr. Qiao met Mr. Xinsen Zhang, Chinese ambassador to South Korea, he expressed heartfelt thanks to the embassy who gives support to China Guodian, introduced Guodian’s operations situations and the cooperation with South Korean enterprises, and accepted the embassy could give support and help.
