30th October, Baoping Qiao, China Guodian Chairman, met Claude Canizares, the vice-president of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Beijing.  Chengjie Zhang, the first vice-president of Guodian New Energy Technology Research Institue, attended the meeting.

        For Mr. Canizares’s visit, Mr. Qiao expressed welcomed and hospitable, and introduced China Guodian’s operation situations. He stated, China should adjust structure, optimize layout, and reduce emission for environmental protection issues in the development. China Guodian insist that to develop new energy production to guide enterprise transformation, focus on technical research and development for energy conservation, environment protection, and efficiency improvement. MIT is one of international famous colleges and universities with many achievements in scientific research in new energy field. China Guodian hopes to create cooperation with MIT, and makes new contributions to energy conservation and environment protection.

        Mr. Canizares believes that the ideas from China Guodian in the new energy field are same to MIT. MIT Energy Innovation Project will offer technical services for international famous energy companies. They expected China Guodian could be the first partner of MIT Energy Innovation Project in China.
