A solar power generation project in Rongcheng, Shandong province, is providing clean energy to the local grid while reducing carbon emissions, local authorities said.

Local power workers inspected the photovoltaic facilities on Thursday to ensure the project's operations are smooth and efficient.

The advanced installation is composed of 28,000 monocrystalline silicon panels. It boasts an average annual electricity output of approximately 23.47 million kilowatt-hours.

This generation capacity is sufficient to meet the yearly power demands of around 20,000 urban households.

Furthermore, the project contributes to environmental goals by reducing carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 22,500 metric tons annually.
