On September 11, the Prime Minister of Denmark H.E. Helle Thorning Schmidt visited Huaneng Beijing Cogeneration Power Plant, accompanied by China Huaneng Group Vice President Mr. Liu Guoyue.

        After hearing the introduction of Huaneng’s latest overall development, Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt spoke highly of Huaneng’s efforts in energy saving and environmental protection, and shared Denmark’s experience in transitioning towards greener and more environmentally-friendly development.

        The Prime Minister also visited the control room of the coal-fired generating units and the coal bunker.

        Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Building, Minister for the Environment, and Danish business representatives joined the site tour.
